At St Mary’s, the House Captains play an important leadership role within the school community. Each captain represents one of the five houses, which are named after inspiring saints, chosen by the pupils. The House Captains work to encourage a sense of team spirit, friendship, and healthy competition among pupils. A key part of their role is to help lead house retreats throughout the year, each one focused on a key liturgical event or significant feast day. These retreats give pupils a chance to reflect, pray, and deepen their faith together. House Captains also motivate their peers during competitions and events, helping to build a positive and inclusive atmosphere across the school.
