At St Mary’s, the prefects, along with the Head Boy and Head Girl, are role models who demonstrate responsibility, kindness, and leadership throughout the school. They are chosen for their positive attitude, excellent behaviour, and commitment to the school’s values. Their duties include supporting staff with daily routines, helping to welcome visitors, and assisting during assemblies and school events. The Head Boy and Head Girl also represent the school at special occasions and often speak on behalf of the pupil body, sharing their thoughts and experiences. Together, the prefect team works to promote a respectful and caring school environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to do their best.
